Reasons You'll Love This Recipe

  • Easy to Make: There isn't any actual cooking required to make these tiny charcuterie boards. Simply wash the produce, cut as needed, and assemble everything on a tray or board.
  • 10 Minute Recipe: This recipe is great in a pinch, you can quickly throw this mini charcuterie platter together in just ten minute.
  • Great for Dietary Restrictions: There is a wide range of flexibility when it comes to what you put on your boards. This is a great option if you have guests with dietary restrictions, you can make several boards that have foods that they can enjoy while excluding foods that they cannot have.

Ingredient Notes

Labeled ingredients in small white bowls including: vegetables, olives, breads, dips, fruit, crackers, olives, pickles, and peppers.

Cheese: You can use a plant-based cheese on your board if you would like.

Meats: There are a variety of plant-based meats that you can serve on your mini boards.

Vegetables: Classic options are celery, carrots, tomatoes, bell peppers, and cucumbers.

Fruits: I typically like to use a variety of grapes, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, cherries, kiwi, and figs.

Nuts & Seeds: Classic options include walnuts, almonds, cashews, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds.

Herbs: Mint, rosemary, and thyme all make beautiful and fragrant garnishes on your board.

Dips & Spreads: Hummus, tzatziki, roasted eggplant dip, jams, jellies, fruit preserves, and pesto are all wonderful options.

Breads: I typically like to add several breads to my board to enjoy with the dips and the cheeses. My go-to options are usually bread slices, crackers, pita, pita chips, and pretzels.

A complete list of ingredients and quantities is listed in the recipe card below.

Top Tip: Use a variety of different foods, textures, and flavors to keep your board exciting.

Substitutions & Additions

Add plant-based meats or cheeses: Not everyone wants or loves meats or cheese on their boards but for others, it's non-negotiable. Feel free to add in anything that you feel would make your mini snack board more enjoyable.

Garnishes: Adding a garnish such as fresh herbs (mint, rosemary, etc.) can be a great way to elevate your board and add an extra pop of color and fragrance.

Add more: You can add more of any food that you like best. One of the fun parts about building charcuterie boards is that you are in total control of what you put on yours.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Create a list of everything you want to include on your board. Gather ingredients and set them aside.

Step 2: Wash any fresh produce that you will be using and cut foods into bite-sized pieces.

Step 3: Next, arrange the food items on the board in groups or clusters.

I try to maintain a variety throughout the board by placing groups of fruits next to a salty nut or cracker. This way the board will be spread out, have a variety of flavors and textures, and be more visually appealing.

Step 4: Add any garnishes or finishing touches to make your board delicious and appealing. Serve and enjoy!

Expert Tips

  • Use a wide variety of foods: For best results, include a variety of different foods with different flavors and textures. This will help keep the mini charcuterie board exciting and will have many different options for your guests.
  • Chose a small amount of each food: Since we are making a small charcuterie board or a "personal charcuterie board" we don't want to use too much food. Using a smaller amount of each food will allow you to use many different foods on your board. It will also help reduce food waste.
