About

Welcome to Planted in the Kitchen!

I'm Kelsey Riley, the recipe developer and food photographer behind Planted in the Kitchen.

I'm a registered nurse with a passion for plant-based food. I love using fresh, healthy ingredients to make bright and beautiful recipes.

My Story

I'm a BSN prepared registered nurse (RN) with experience working in the emergency department, pediatric emergency department, and as a school nurse.

I started Planted in the Kitchen as a hobby back in 2019. Since then, I've learned so much to sharpen my skills in recipe development, food photography, and short form video. Now I'm lucky enough to do this full time.

My goal is to show others that eating a plant-based diet can be delicious and easy, and to encourage everyone to eat more fruits & vegetables!

What will you find on Planted in the Kitchen?

Easy and delicious vegan & plant-based recipes. Everything I make is fully vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, and more (specified in each recipe).

You have access to subscribe to my email newsletter where I send out emails at least twice per month. They include recipes, plant-based nutrition tips, helpful produce guides, and more!

I include all of my most loved, tried and true kitchen & cooking products on my shop page, along with my affiliate links.
