Pumpkin pie smoothies are not only perfect for breakfast, but also for dessert! Along with the new season and cold weather comes delicious new flavors as well as new recipes. This smoothie is sweet and creamy and in addition, has delicious hints of pumpkin and maple. It tastes as good as a crisp fall day feels.
I love an easy recipe and when I am able to use ingredients I already have on hand either in the fridge, freezer, or pantry. As soon as the leaves start changing their colors, I stock up on plenty of canned pumpkin and am ready to use it in as many recipes as I can. Let's celebrate the first day of October with this refreshing treat!
This recipe makes two smoothies.
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup ice
- ½ cup pumpkin puree
- ½ cup almond or oat milk
- ¼ cup roasted sweet potato (you can swap this for more pureed pumpkin!)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Directions and Recipe Notes
Add all of the pumpkin pie smoothie ingredients to a blender and blend together until the texture becomes smooth and creamy.
If you prefer a thicker smoothie you can add extra ice or frozen banana in addition to the recipe above. Similarly, if you prefer your smoothie to be less thick, add a bit more plant-based milk.
