This orange banana smoothie is perfect for an easy breakfast and one of my easiest snack ideas!
This frozen fruit smoothie is sweetest way to start your day!
It's the perfect vegan breakfast recipe all year round. Recipes with orange are great in the winter months because they are so deliciously in season and can help to boost your immune system with food. Who doesn't want a little extra help staying healthy during those chilly months?
This also makes it a great smoothie for the New Year as we are working toward our goals. Whether you're looking for a recipe to work on your immune health, or looking for healthy smoothies recipes for weight loss, this smoothie is one of my favorites.
It is also great in the summer months to cool down on a hot day.
This is also one of the best vegan recipes kids love. They love the sweetness from the oranges and the frosty, frozen consistency.
If you're looking for a fun activity to do with your kids, bring them along for a supervised trip to the kitchen and teach them how to make a smoothie using this recipe.
Ingredients
Orange: I love using oranges in smoothie recipes, and I don't feel like they are utilized enough. They bring so much refreshing, sweet flavor to this smoothie.
Banana: Everyone loves a yummy orange banana smoothie! The banana will make this a nice and thick smoothie. It brings great consistency to the table, just be sure to freeze it ahead of time.
Pineapple: We get an even more tropical taste with the pineapple. These three fruits work so well together to bring out the most refreshing treat.
Almond Milk: I used almond milk for the liquid base in this smoothie, but you can also use oat milk, or even coconut water to make a coconut water smoothie, yum!
See recipe card below for quantities.
Instructions
This is another super easy vegan recipe that's so easy to make, I can throw it together in a hurry.
Simply place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until it's smooth and creamy.
Top Tips and Notes
I make a little reminder in all of my smoothie recipe posts, but it's truly worth saying every time: freeze your fruit in advance. This makes your smoothie nice and frosty without having to dilute it with ice.
Of course, you can always add extra ice if you prefer. It's just a general rule of thumb in my smoothie making world.
I love that this is a four ingredient recipe, but you can feel free to add any extra ingredients that you want. Sometimes I add a little nut butter and make an almond butter smoothie out of it, sometimes I make a mango orange smoothie. Add whatever you love best!
