It has taken me months to perfect my avocado swirl, or “avocado rose” technique and I want to share it with you. Grab some avocados and follow along!

Step 1: Find a ripe avocado and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before starting. Refrigerating the avocado will make it easier to peel and will help it keep a firm shape instead of turning to a mushy mess.
Cut in half, remove the pit, and peel off the outer skin.
Step 2: Put your avocado on your cutting board, pit side down, in a horizontal position. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut your avocado into small slices. I usually find that I need to wipe my knife clean halfway through slicing because it will start to stick.

Step 3: Once sliced, take your (clean) hands and gently slide the avocado into a long vertical line. Use the palms of your hands so you don’t change the shape of the avocado slices.

Step 4: Starting with one end of the avocado line, make a big curl/swirl. I usually start with one end, then move the second half in (see video to see what I’m talking about).

Have fun and enjoy your beautiful avocado swirls!!

looks so cool!!!
