Spirulina is a member of the blue-green algae family and known for it’s “superfood” qualities. Aside from being packed with nutrients, it has the most beautiful color! I love adding a tablespoon or two to my smoothies, oatmeal, chia seed pudding, and more. It has an extremely mild taste and can make any recipe pop!
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 handful baby spinach
- 1 cup nut milk or coconut water
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- 1 Tbsp spirulina powder (can use green or blue!)
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice (optional)
Blend your spinach and liquid base (either a nut milk or coconut water) together for about 10-15 seconds. Add in the rest of your ingredients and blend until smooth and creamy.
