Cranberry sauce is a Thanksgiving staple that I was so exciting to try making this year. With hints of orange zest and sweet maple syrup, this cranberry sauce is ready for it’s spot at the table!
- 2 cups of whole cranberries
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp fresh orange zest
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup
Combine your water and sugar in a pot on the stove and bring to a boil.
Once water is boiling and sugar has dissolved, add your cranberries, orange zest, and maple syrup. Turn to low heat and continue to cook for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Remove from heat and let cool before transferring to a bowl. Refrigerate to finish the thickening process before serving.
