My Favorite Green Smoothies

If prepared correctly, green smoothies can be light, refreshing, and sweet. Below are a few of my favorite green smoothie recipes!

Banana Spinach Smoothie

  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 cup almond milk (unsweetened)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup ice

Matcha Pineapple Smoothie

  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 Tbsp matcha
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • You can add 1 tsp honey if you want to make it sweeter

Pear Spinach Smoothie

  • 1 ripe pear
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup of ice
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 cup baby spinach

 

Tips & Tricks

  • Blend your smoothies in two steps: First, blend your liquid base and your leafy greens. Second, add in the rest of your ingredients and blend again.
  • I like using baby spinach in my green smoothies because you’ll get a lighter, fresh taste. Kale is probably the most nutritious leafy green you can add to your smoothie. Feel free to swap out spinach in any of the recipes for any leafy green you might prefer.
  • Keep a bag of frozen sliced bananas and other fruit in my freezer so I can add them to smoothies.
  • You can swap out almond milk for water, coconut water, soy milk, or oat milk.
